Stopwatch

00:00

    About the stopwatch

The Stopwatch is a free, browser-based tool that tracks time upward with precision—no downloads, sign-ups, or extra apps. Whether you’re timing workouts, logging laps, monitoring meetings, or tracking any task, it provides a clean digital display, smooth circular progress ring, and optional screen wake-lock for uninterrupted timing.

    How the stopwatch works

    • Instant start: Opens at 00:00 with a bold digital display inside a sleek circular ring.
    • Start and watch time grow: Press Start to begin counting upward in real time (MM:SS). The progress ring fills a complete circle every 60 seconds, giving a visual pulse to each passing minute.
    • Pause & resume: Need a break? Tap Pause and the timer holds your total elapsed time. Hit Resume to continue from the exact second you left off.
    • Log lap times: Click Lap at any moment to capture a split time. Up to 10 lap times appear in a numbered list beneath the timer, ideal for interval training or tracking multiple segments in a single session.
    • Reset in one click: Hit Reset to clear the timer and lap list back to zero for a fresh start.
    • Edit & keep the screen awake: Select Edit to reveal the “Prevent device from sleeping” checkbox. When enabled, the Stopwatch uses your browser’s Wake Lock API to stop your screen from dimming or locking—perfect for long workouts or extended focus sessions.

Why a dedicated online stopwatch matters

A focused stopwatch helps you stay aware of how much time has passed without distracting you with notifications or complex menus. Its live circular progress ring gives instant visual feedback, while lap logging makes it easy to break down performance into measurable segments.

With built-in wake-lock, you can rely on the display to stay active through the longest workouts or presentations—all free and directly in your browser.
